NCUA Share Insurance

Your shares federally insured to at least $250,000

The National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) is the federal fund created by Congress in 1970 to insure member’s deposits in federally insured credit unions. Your Share Draft/Checking, Share Savings and Certificate accounts are insured to at least $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government. In addition, certain retirement accounts, such as IRAs, are insured separately up to $250,000. Credit union members have never lost a penny of insured savings at a federally insured credit union.
